Water Treatment Plant Operator Position available
The City of Delphos is accepting resumes for the position of Water Treatment Operator or Operator in Training.
This position is a semi-skilled position involving the operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plans, reservoir and distribution system of the Delphos Water Department. This position also assists in the reading and maintaining of water meters. Work in this class involves maintenance responsibilities for the day-to-day operation of the water system and its appurtenances. This position requires working in adverse weather conditions and non-scheduled hours on a call-in or on call basis. Must be able to obtain certification as a Water Plant Operator Class 1 within 2 years of employment and be willing to obtain other certifications and/or licenses as deemed necessary by the City of Delphos. Must be able to become OEPA Full lab certified.
Employment Standards: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of laboring experience or other experience as necessary to develop mature judgment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
