Government

The City of Delphos is a body politic and corporate established to exercise the rights and privileges conveyed to it by the constitution and laws of the State of Ohio.  The City is directed by a seven-member Council elected for four year terms.

The City is a home rule municipal corporation established under the laws of the State of Ohio, which operates under the laws of the State of Ohio.  The City operates under a part-time Mayor/Council and full-time Safety/Service Director form of government.

The City provides various services, including public safety (police and fire), highways and streets, parks and recreation, public improvements, community development (planning and zoning), water and sewer, sanitation, and general administrative and legislative services.
